The most sterile water on earth is found in this nut. A mix of coconut water and the coconut flesh makes coconut milk. This milk is a good source of iron and contains calcium, phosphorus, protein and vitamins. The flesh of a mature nut is used in many dishes.

Coconut leaves are used to make baskets and roofing as well as the raw material for baskets, furniture, clothing, musical instruments, shampoo and packaging.
