De bloemen van de dropplant zijn zeer in trek bij bijen.

Het aroma is goed te gebruiken in salades, thee en potpourri.

Door de blaadjes te wrijven komt de geur vrij van drop en anijs.

Habitat: Openings in dry upland forests, upland areas of prairies, scrubby barrens, and thickets.
